Emma Got Baptised!!

Emma was baptised Sunday, February 1st, on her eighth birthday! It was a wonderful day. We had all our kids here, except Jessica, who was here in spirit as she is especially pro baptism these days! Also here were Jedd and Michelle (almost our kids), Aunt Shanna and her kids Jason, Vincent and Raeannen, Grandma and Grandpa Ercanbrack and Grandma and Grandpa Seamons. The program was very sweet. Sterling spoke on baptism, Katie spoke on the Holy Ghost, Grandma S. shared a poem "Three White Dresses", the primary aged kids sang "When I am Baptised", the Grandpa's said the prayers, and Morgan did a wonderful job baptising and confirming Emma. She followed tradition wearing the dress that Grandma Seamons made for Jessica when she was baptised, and then Katie, Sarah and Rachel wore it for their baptisms. Emma was very happy to become an official member of Jesus' church.

Sterling and Michelle

Sterling is marrying Michelle Reichert on April 10th in the SL Temple. We have grown to love and appreciate Michelle. She is an amazing young lady and we are so excited for her to be part of our family! I will post pix of them when I find them lol!

Birthday Buddies

We celebrated the birthdays of Katie and Emma. They were born on Feb. 2nd and Feb. 1st, so we have always had a double celebration. They don't seem to mind. Katie is now 20- not a teenager any more! Emma turned 8 and was so excited to be baptised on the very day of her birthday!

The guy hiding behind Katie is Jedd, her fiance. He's a great guy. The kids love him and he is so good to Katie.

The ranch

We always go down to the ranch the week after Christmas. It was beautiful this year, and the little girls had lots of fun with their cousin, Rachel Jensen.

Everyone seemed pleased Christmas morning. Wes actually got his big gift a couple weeks early thanks to some good snow. Katie got a snowboard from Jedd. A native skier, she's getting pretty good at boarding which makes Jedd happy! The little girls favorite gift was their build-a-bear gift cards. We had a great time down in Utah with Grandma Seamons and cousin Rae choosing bears and outfitting them. Spencer got a gun. I don't know if he wanted a gun, but according to Morgan, the family needed another gun and Spencer's the one who has shown the most interest. He actually was quite excited about it, as was Sterling, seen admiring Spencer's gun. Sarah is anti picture (of herself), so I was happy to get this one of her face, and not the back of her head trying to avoid one.

Well, I've made it to Christmas! Catching up slowing but surely... We had a wonderful holiday season. Christmas tree hunting with my side of the family was a highlight, but the pix are hidden somewhere on this computer and I can't find them! Christmas Eve found Sarah as a sheep, with Rachel her shepherd. Katie and Spence were angels-hmmm... and Emma and Wes were Mary and Joseph. Sterling had to work and got home around midnight. Jedd, Katie's fiance surprised her and got here around one in the morning. Morgan, Katie, Sterling and I were still up helping Santa, of course.

More catch up here- Emma was an elf in the 1st and 2nd grade Christmas play. I thought she was a pretty cute elf! She had lots of fun and enjoyed being in the limelight.
A choir concert in December had Wes crooning with the Mens Choir and Sarah (top row, 2nd from right) with the MarVals, which is the show choir at Marsh Valley High. Sarah loves it. For Wes, however, it is another one of those annoying requirements of his mom. I'm sure by next year he will love it and be so glad and grateful that he was 'required' (we stay away from the word 'forced') to do it!

Rachel's birthday

Rachel turned 10 on December 8th, 2008. She is an awesome little girl and we are so happy that she is part of our family! She is very organized and likes to get her work done right away and get it out of the way. She loves to help mom and is so cheerful about it. She is an amazing student and quickly reaches her goals whether it be reading or multiplication tables. We love you Rachel!

Wow, here's some more!

We'll do some more catch up here! Sarah did a wonderful job as "Princess April" in the Marsh Valley Musical "Twelve Dancing Princesses" in November. It was a delightful play and she had lots of fun. She's the one on the left in blue. She got to play opposite her good friend Aaron, who was "Prince Pathetique". They didn't have many lines, but got to cry a lot and had a great time.

The kids had their piano recital in November also. They all did fairly well even though at our house piano is a requirement, not an optional activity and not their favorite thing to do!
